An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the UK's leading flight case manufacturer. 5 Star Cases are looking for an experienced Quality Manager to join our small friendly team based in Wisbech. The successful candidate will need a willing and enthusiastic approach to work.
The essential skills required of this role are:
- Previous Management Experience within manufacturing is essential to include, develop and maintain quality control systems including documentation and staff training
- Hands on attitude and approach
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experienced in using IT equipment, MS Word, Excel
- Attention to detail
- Team player - directly reporting to Senior Management
- Be willing and able to learn new skills
- Experience in driving continuous improvement
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous Quality Control and assurance experience in manufacturing
- Be able to maintain and improve existing quality systems and take part in developing new systems
- Ensure all product, raw materials and quality processes are controlled and managed
- Deal with customers on quality related matters
- Perform internal and external quality investigations
- Ensure QA Compliance objectives and targets are met
- Monitor quality performance, to include statistical analysis and KPIs
- Work to ISO 9001 standards
- Participate in R & D activities
Benefits: In return we are offering 20 days holiday per year plus bank holidays and you will also accrue one additional days paid holiday for each completed year of service, up to a maximum of 5 additional days, pension scheme, on-site parking, staff discount and an Employee assistance program.
The hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week. The starting rate of pay is £17 per hour, to increase after probation.
