An exciting new position has arisen in Ross-Shire, in the North of Scotland, on a family-run arable farm specialising in High Grade Seed Potatoes and cereals. This is a varied and exciting opportunity for an experienced person, and possibly their partner too.
Required:
- A can-do attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Attention to detail, and pride in your work.
- Preferably Forklift certificates, PA1, PA2, and any other PAs; any other relevant qualifications an advantage, but training will be given if required.
- A willingness to work overtime when required, but it is equally important to have downtime as well, and a busy work/life balance is essential.
Roles:
- Loading potatoes into store at harvest
- Monitoring and inspecting stores
- Grading and dispatching potato consignments
- Preparing growing crops for inspection
- Liaising with potato inspectors and others
- Maintenance and other general farm work
- Various tractor and combine operations when required
For the right candidate, the wage would be in excess of the Agricultural wages board.
