We are looking for a reliable and experienced Farm Operative to join our team. This is a varied, hands on role suited to someone with strong agricultural knowledge who is confident operating farm machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating tractors, telehandlers and other agricultural machinery safely and efficiently
- Carrying out general farm duties and supporting day-to-day operations
- Assisting with seasonal work, including cultivation, harvesting and maintenance
- Completing routine machinery checks and reporting faults
- Maintaining high standards of health, safety and crop welfare
- Working independently and as part of the wider team
Skills and Experience
The successful applicant will have:
- Previous experience in a similar agricultural or farm-based role
- Proven experience driving tractors and operating a telehandlers
- Good practical knowledge of farming and agricultural operations
- A flexible and dependable approach to working hours, particularly during busy periods
- The ability to work safely, responsibly and with minimal supervision
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A valid driving licence
- Relevant machinery certificates or licences are desirable
