Position: Assistant Farm Manager
Opportunity: Transition to Farm Manager after 2 years due to anticipated retirement.
Experience Required: At least 3 years as a sprayer operator; involved in all spraying operations (2024 Amazone Sprayer to be used) alongside other cultivation tasks.
We are looking for a detail-oriented, careful individual who is happy to work in a team and independently to join our established family farming business in the Chelmsford/Braintree area in Essex. The farm primarily grows wheat, barley, OSR, beans, and linseed.
You will be joining the farming team consisting of the Farm Manager, an early 20's staff member, and a harvest student, covering 1400 acres.
There is an opportunity to gain more industry qualifications (BASIS useful but not essential) and experience in running Red Tractor, SFI schemes, etc., at this stage.
To fit in with existing game and stimulated shoot diversifications, woodland, tourism, and residential teams.
