About Our Customer

4way Recruitment has partnered directly with an accredited provider to secure a permanent Contracts Manager for their team. Our customer is a well-established Fire & Security provider experiencing continued growth across its commercial customer base. They are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to take ownership of key accounts, lead an engineering team, and ensure the successful delivery of complex Fire & Security service contracts.

This is a varied senior position combining client relationship management, technical oversight, operational leadership, commercial responsibility, and team development. The successful candidate will work across a portfolio of prestigious commercial environments, dealing with clients and stakeholders while overseeing a team of Engineers and Senior Engineers.

Key Responsibilities – Contracts Manager

  • Manage a portfolio of key commercial Fire & Security service contracts.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, developing strong and long-term working relationships.
  • Ensure contracts are delivered to agreed service levels, KPIs, technical standards, and customer expectations.
  • Identify opportunities for additional works, remedial projects, upgrades, and system improvements.
  • Prepare and review quotations for remedial works, small projects, and system upgrades.
  • Coordinate with Engineers, Service Coordinators, Installation Managers, Project Managers, and other internal teams.
  • Oversee small works and remedial projects from quotation through to completion.
  • Work alongside Project and Division Managers on larger installation and upgrade projects.
  • Monitor commercial performance, including forecasting, work in progress, invoicing, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure SHEQ requirements are maintained across all areas of responsibility.
  • Review and approve RAMS, technical documentation, and audit requirements.
  • Lead, manage, and develop Engineers, Senior Engineers, and Apprentices.
  • Support performance management, mentoring, training, and career development within the engineering team.
  • Work with senior management to identify opportunities for business growth and improve customer service.

Skills and experience – Contracts Manager:

  • Strong technical knowledge and experience within the Fire & Security industry.
  • Previous experience as a Contracts Manager, Service Manager, Engineering Manager, Project Manager, or similar senior position.
  • Engineering background or strong technical experience within Fire & Security.
  • Experience managing service contracts within large commercial environments.
  • Knowledge of complex, networked, and IP-based Fire & Security systems.
  • Proven experience managing Engineers, subcontractors, clients, and multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial awareness with an understanding of financial and operational performance.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and client relationship management skills.
  • Proven leadership and people management experience.
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative and team-focused environment.
  • Full UK driving licence.
