We’re a global video and lighting service provider delivering world class solutions for exhibitions, concerts, touring, conferences, theatre, TV, film and retail. We are seeking a Rigging Inspector to join our UK warehouse team to lead the inspection, certification, and compliance of lifting and rigging equipment across our operations. This hands-on technical role is responsible for ensuring all equipment is inspected in line with LOLER regulations, accurately recorded within company systems, and maintained in a safe, compliant, and rental-ready condition. The role also supports rigging prep, maintenance, and wider warehouse activity where required.
The role will initially involve travel to our Blackburn facility, as our rigging warehouse is relocating. From late July onwards the role will be primarily based at our Hertford location. Travel costs associated with this transition will be covered by the company.
What you’ll do:
- Carry out inspections of lifting and rigging equipment including hoists, chains, slings, shackles, truss, and associated equipment.
- Maintain LOLER inspection schedules, certification records, and compliance documentation.
- Identify, quarantine, and report damaged or non-compliant equipment.
- Support maintenance, testing, and repair of rigging and motor equipment.
- Prepare and process equipment for jobs in line with operational requirements.
- Support stock control, inventory management, and equipment tracking.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment in line with Health & Safety standards.
- Assist with wider warehouse operations, including loading and unloading equipment where required.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in theatrical rigging and lifting equipment, including electric motors.
- LEAA qualification or equivalent industry experience.
- Strong technical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
- Experience leading, motivating and mentoring a small team.
- Knowledge of LOLER, PUWER, and inspection compliance.
- Clear written and spoken English for record keeping and communication.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 25kg and working in an active warehouse environment.
- Positive, organised and team focused with excellent communication skills.
- Willingness to travel to Blackburn initially, before relocation to Hertford.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced rigging professional to play a key role in maintaining the safety, compliance, and readiness of rigging equipment across a busy live events operation. If you’re looking for your next challenge and bring the skills and experience required, we’d love to hear from you.
