From design integration to large-scale installations, we bring events to life with innovation and expertise.
The role will be based across our Harlow and Hertford sites during our transition period, as we relocate our UK operations to Hertford. From later this year, the role will be primarily based at our Hertford facility. The successful candidate must be willing and able to work across both locations during this transition.
About the Role
As Dock Lead, you’ll take responsibility for coordinating and supervising activity in the dock. You’ll ensure the smooth flow of equipment in and out of the warehouse, maintain high quality standards, and provide leadership that keeps the team motivated and productive. This is a hands-on role that requires excellent organisational skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the dock team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to 4Wall standards.
- Supervise dock operations and provide clear direction, task assignments, and mentoring where required.
- Overseeing loading and unloading of trucks and client collections, ensuring all equipment is gathered and loaded correctly.
- Stage and sort kit for loading, identifying and reporting any damaged or missing items.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Enter and maintain inventory records in Company system when required.
- Support with stock control, regular equipment checks, and general warehouse upkeep.
- Promote a strong culture of safety, teamwork and customer service.
What We’re Looking For
- At least 4 years of warehouse or dock management experience.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to direct, coach and support others.
- Good computer skills, including Outlook, Excel and inventory systems.
- A positive, team orientated mindset with excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of AV equipment, lighting and rigging (preferred).
- Physically fit, able to lift, bend, twist, stand for long periods, and work in non-temperature-controlled environments.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings and weekends when required.
Hours
Full time – a minimum of 40 hours per week Monday- Friday. Overtime will be required as necessitated by the needs of the business which will include early mornings, late evenings and weekends. The ability to facilitate this is key as the needs of the business are paramount.
