We are a global video and lighting service provider with multiple locations across the UK and the US. We bring an unrivalled service and technical know-how to every project we deliver, supporting exhibitions, concerts, touring, conferences, theatre, TV, film and retail.
We are seeking a Lighting Repair Technician to support the maintenance, servicing and repair of lighting equipment across our UK operation. The Lighting Repair Technician will be responsible for ensuring all lighting equipment is maintained to the highest of standards. This includes diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, and servicing a wide range of lighting fixtures and associated equipment to ensure reliability and readiness for deployment on projects.
The role will initially involve travel to our Blackburn premises, as our lighting warehouse is relocating. From summer onwards the role will be based in Hertford. Travel costs associated with this transition will be covered by the company.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose, service and repair a wide range of professional lighting equipment.
- Carry out servicing and refurbishment of lighting fixtures, including optics, gobos, lenses, motors, fans and internal components.
- Perform mechanical, electronic and firmware based repairs on lights and associated equipment.
- Assist with the repair and maintenance of LED panels and other AV assets when required.
- Prioritise and plan repair work to ensure equipment is serviced in line with operational schedules and job requirements.
- Accurately record faults and parts used within the asset management system.
- Monitor spare part levels and report shortages to ensure repair work can be completed efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised repair workspace in line with company health and safety standards.
- Support the wider warehouse team, including assisting with stock takes and equipment handling when required.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of vehicles as part of the warehouse team.
- Experience repairing and maintaining professional lighting equipment.
- Strong fault finding skills across mechanical and electronic systems.
- Familiarity with moving lights, LED fixtures, lighting control systems and associated accessories.
- Good manual dexterity and a steady hand for precise repair work.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to visually inspect and identify faults.
- Comfortable using computers and technical systems, including asset management software.
- Clear written and spoken English for recording repairs and collaborating with colleagues.
- Organised and able to prioritise work in a fast paced environment.
- A collaborative team player.
- Ability and willingness to travel to Blackburn initially prior to relocation of the warehouse to Hertford.
- Physically capable of lifting and moving equipment and working in an active warehouse environment.
