Position

Experienced Cable Technician – 4Wall Blackburn, 4‑month fixed‑term contract (February to end of June).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cable department equipment to the highest standards by inspecting, testing and repairing as necessary.
  • Prepare cables as per job requirements in a timely fashion.
  • Check in and check out equipment according to procedures.
  • Organise all cables, connectors and consumables according to 4Wall working policy.
  • Conduct periodic stock takes.
  • Work as part of a wider team to help deliver exceptional service to clients.
  • Assist with loading and unloading of vans and trucks.

Qualifications

  • No previous experience required; interest in cables, methodical approach, good attitude and common sense.
  • Ability to carry out frequent manual handling tasks and good visual abilities.
  • Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Problem‑solving / troubleshooting and repair ability.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness and flexibility to facilitate overtime, including early mornings, late evenings and some weekend working.

Working Hours

Full time.
