The Opportunity

An established and highly regarded North West construction contractor is looking for a driven and dynamic Manager to join their senior team.

Founded over 15 years ago, the business has successfully delivered more than 150 projects across the region and has built a strong reputation with both private and public sector clients for on time, on budget delivery and exceptional attention to detail.

This is a genuinely varied workload.

Live and upcoming schemes generally range from £2m to £15m in value and span new build homes, multi unit residential developments, apartment schemes, refurbishments and commercial and healthcare projects across the North West.

There is a strong residential bias, but a mix of all three sectors is generally in progress at any one time.

The Role

Reporting to the Operations and Commercial Director, you will lead a team of Site Managers and Quantity Surveyors to manage, oversee, drive and successfully deliver three live projects at any one time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of the successful delivery of up to three concurrent projects, typically valued between £2m and £15m.
  • Lead, mentor and manage a team of Site Managers and Quantity Surveyors across your projects.
  • Drive programme, quality, health & safety and commercial performance on site.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, design teams and subcontractors.
  • Work closely with the buying, admin and pre construction teams to ensure every project is set up for success.
  • Report directly to the Operations and Commercial Director.

About You

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager or Contracts Manager with a residential led, multi sector contractor.
  • A track record of successfully delivering projects in the £2m to £15m range.
  • Comfortable managing two to three live projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience managing Site Managers and QS teams.
  • Experience across residential, commercial and/or healthcare projects is highly advantageous.
