Join Our Claims Support Team! We’re looking for a detail-focused and organised Claims Handler to join our supportive Claims Support Team at 4th Dimension Innovation in Thorpe, Surrey. This role is ideal for someone with previous administration experience and experience working within an insurance claims environment. You’ll play an important part in supporting the wider claims process, making sure claims data, correspondence and internal workflows are handled accurately, efficiently and in line with agreed service levels.

Main Duties:

  • Support a variety of divisions across the claims process to help meet service level requirements.
  • Manage claims data entry accurately and efficiently.
  • Process incoming paper-based and electronic correspondence throughout the claims journey.
  • Ensure effective records are maintained and timely communications are sent.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to incoming telephone calls, emails and letters.
  • Capture data accurately and comprehensively, completing all relevant fields in Proclaim.
  • Support the Claims Team in meeting individual and team targets and objectives.
  • Keep up to date with workflow changes and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Share technical knowledge across the team and wider business where appropriate.
  • Ensure complaints are handled promptly and escalated when required.
  • Work in line with company policies, claims handling procedures and service levels.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including Treating Customers Fairly, DPA, complaints handling and FCA legislation.

Key Skills:

  • Previous administration experience.
  • Experience working in an insurance claims environment.
  • Strong understanding of claims processes and how claims are managed.
  • High level of literacy and numeracy.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience using Proclaim would be beneficial.
  • Effective organisation and time management skills.
  • Able to work to deadlines and manage changing workloads.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Professional, polite and friendly telephone manner.
  • Reliable, proactive and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive, approachable and willing to continue learning and developing.
