About the Role
As a Stock Control Operative, you’ll be a pivotal part of our logistics network, ensuring every motorcycle across our sites is tracked and handled with care. You\’ll use our Location App for real-time updates, load and unload bikes using FLT equipment, and work independently to meet daily targets. This role is ideal for someone methodical, proactive, and comfortable taking the reins.
Key Responsibilities
- Log all motorcycle movements in company systems accurately
- Coordinate transport with internal departments
- Keep sites clean and stocked with essentials
- Support engineers by preparing and locating bikes
- Safely transport motorcycles using company vans
- Maintain van condition and report issues promptly
- Operate Fork Lift Trucks (FLT) for bike handling
- Assist with ad-hoc duties from SCT senior team
- Collaborate daily with logistics and salvage teams
- Use tools like Proclaim, Advance, and Microsoft Office
- Preserve salvage bike value through smart handling
- Escalate issues and communicate clearly across teams
- Uphold health, safety, and company policy standards
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in motorcycle handling (preferred)
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Works well independently and in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Minimum GCSE-level education
