We’re looking for an experienced Driver Team Leader to join our fast‑paced Transport team at 4th Dimension Innovation. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you’ll take ownership of part of our driver fleet operations, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient delivery while leading from the front. If you’re a naturally organised, confident people manager, and thrive in a compliance‑led environment, this could be your next move.
Main Duties- Plan and manage driver and vehicle allocation to maximise fleet utilisation
- Create, manage, and communicate daily and weekly driver rota
- Act as a key point of contact for drivers and customers, providing clear and timely updates
- Support fleet compliance activities, including Health & Safety and transport legislation
- Lead, motivate, and support drivers, fostering a positive and productive working environment
- Conduct performance discussions, route feedback sessions, and annual appraisals
- Take ownership of operational challenges and drive practical solutions
- Collaborate with Transport Team Leaders to implement operational improvements
- Proven experience leading and developing teams
- Strong rota planning and resource allocation skills
- Knowledge of transport compliance and Health & Safety requirements
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, operational environment
- Confident communicator with drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and transport or warehouse management systems
