We're recruiting on behalf of an innovative engineering company developing specialist monitoring and sensing technology used in demanding industrial applications across the globe. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering graduate who enjoys practical engineering and wants to gain hands-on experience across manufacturing, product development, testing and deployment. You'll work on real engineering projects from day one alongside experienced engineers in a collaborative environment.
The Role
- As a Graduate Engineer you'll gain exposure to the full product lifecycle, including:
- Building, assembling and testing advanced electro-mechanical products
- Supporting the design, development and improvement of new technologies
- Working from engineering drawings, schematics and assembly instructions
- Carrying out precision mechanical and electrical assembly, including soldering
- Performing testing, fault finding and quality inspections
- Preparing equipment for customer projects and evaluating returned systems
- Maintaining engineering documentation and equipment records
- Assisting with product commissioning, validation and deployment activities
- Providing technical support both remotely and, occasionally, on customer sites
- Working safely whilst following engineering and quality procedures
About You
- We're looking for someone who has:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering or a related STEM discipline
- A genuine interest in hands-on engineering and building things
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn
- Good attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical drawings
- Experience using hand tools (through university projects, hobbies or placements is welcome)
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to work independently as well as within a team
- The right to work in the UK
