Group Financial Controller required for my client based in Swindon area. Are you ready for a new challenge to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment? My Swindon based client are looking for a Group Financial Controller to join their dynamic team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact and drive innovation in their finance team. About the Role The Group Financial Controller is a highly visible role and will drive the company’s financial strategy and contribute to its overall success. The role is a key part of the finance management team, comprising the Head of Finance, Head of FP&A, Global Projects Manager and Global Reporting Manager. You will support the CFO, CEO, Group MD and the rest of the Executive Team, and will be responsible for the classic controller duties of producing periodic financial reports, ensuring a system of accounting records, maintaining the company’s general ledger, managing the accounts and finance team, ensuring that all reported results comply with accounting standards and relevant legislation. You will be expected to bring an innovative approach to financial controlling and continually review internal processes with the wider finance team to enhance the reputation of the finance department . Accountabilities: • Day to day management of the global finance team of finance managers – 3 direct reports • Day to day management of Accounting team managers – 2 direct reports • Ownership of financial governance and financial policy development and deployment • Management of external advisors for local tax submissions • Main contact for global auditors facilitating global statutory reporting • Deferred revenue calculations • Monthly group consolidation and ad-hoc reporting to the group • Owner of global balance sheet reconciliations (incl debtors & creditors) • Owner of global risk & opportunities • Global overhead reporting • Payroll cover • ABTA & CAA Renewal • Co-ordination with Head FP+A to enable accurate business forecasting and risk mitigation • On-time and accurate payment of suppliers • Control of expenses and costs in line with budget • Transfer pricing policy and execution Qualifications/ skills/ experience / knowledge • Experience managing and developing a team; • Experience in senior accounting role in a global business with multiple entities; • Self starter and detail oriented; • Extensive modelling experience, expert in excel; • 5+ years senior level Accounting experience; • ACCA / CIMA qualification strongly preferred; • Designed and implemented best in class systems, tools and processes with focus on automation; • Has managed transfer pricing and tax in businesses with multiple global entities
