Business Development Executive
4Square Recruitment is looking for someone who’s motivated to build new client relationships and earn commission by introducing businesses to our recruitment services.
You don’t need previous sales or recruitment experience. We’re open to someone starting out who is ambitious, money motivated, willing to learn and happy to spend much of the day speaking to new people over the phone. Experience in telemarketing, telesales or B2B sales would be useful, but it isn’t essential.
What you’ll be doing
- Making outbound calls to businesses and introducing 4Square Recruitment and our services
- Speaking with potential clients to understand their hiring plans and recruitment needs
- Identifying and qualifying opportunities, then passing suitable leads to our recruitment team
- Keeping clear notes on conversations and following up with prospective clients
- Learning about our markets, clients and recruitment services
Commission
You’ll earn commission on qualified leads that you pass to our recruitment team. You’ll also earn further commission when a client you introduced works with us to recruit. We’ll explain how the commission scheme works during the recruitment process.
What we’re looking for
- A strong work ethic and the motivation to earn
- Confidence speaking to new people, or the willingness to build that confidence
- Resilience and a positive attitude towards cold outreach
- Good listening and communication skills
- The ability to stay organised and keep accurate records
- A willingness to learn, take feedback and work towards targets
Previous sales or recruitment experience is welcome, but it’s not a requirement. What matters most is your attitude, determination and willingness to pick up the phone.
Progression
The role will begin with a focus on business development and client outreach. For someone who performs well and wants to broaden their experience, there is scope to progress into a Recruitment Consultant role over time.
