We are recruiting for a hands-on Production Engineering Specialist to join a technical production team based in Farnborough. This is a key role focused on ensuring products leave the workshop fully tested, calibrated and built to a high standard. You will be responsible for the wiring, assembly, testing, fault finding and repair of production equipment, as well as supporting the build and calibration of radar units. The role would suit someone with strong electro-mechanical assembly experience, good attention to detail and a practical background in wiring, soldering, crimping, cable assembly and product testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Wiring, assembly and testing of production equipment in line with project requirements
- Cleaning, processing and logging equipment returns and RMAs
- Fault finding and repair of equipment
- Calibration and build of radar units
- Supporting development teams with prototype builds
- Providing cover for goods in/out during annual leave
- Following work instructions, drawings and diagrams accurately
- Ensuring products are completed to a high standard and delivered on time
Skills and Experience Required
- Experience of mechanical assembly
- Wiring, soldering and crimping experience
- Cable assembly experience
- Ability to follow work instructions, drawings, diagrams and build documentation
- Good general IT skills, including MS Office
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Able to manage multiple tasks and work to tight timescales
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Practical, hands-on approach with a focus on quality
