Freelance Site Manager
Location: Uxbridge, UK
Start Date: 14th July 2025
Duration: Minimum through Feb 2026, with potential for up to 3 years of ongoing work
Day Rate: Β£300 - Β£330 per day (dependent on experience)
Working Hours: 07:30 β 17:00

About the Role
An exciting opportunity to join a major commercial fit-out project based in Uxbridge, delivering approximately 120,000 sq ft of Cat A and Cat B space. This is a long-term freelance position on a prominent, multi-building scheme, ideal for professionals seeking stability and consistent project work.
Each Site Manager will take ownership of one or more floors during the fit-out phase, working closely with the Senior Project Manager on-site.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day site activity and subcontractor coordination
- Maintain site safety, cleanliness and organisation
- Conduct and monitor snagging, quality control and progress reporting
- Manage material deliveries and logistical site planning
- Interface with the project management team and attend regular site meetings
- Ensure works are completed to high standards and on programme
Candidate Requirements
Certifications:
- SMSTS β Required
- CSCS β Preferred
Experience:
- Senior Site Manager: 5β7 years minimum managing commercial Cat A/B fit-out projects
- Junior Site Manager: 3β4 years in a similar environment
- Experience managing floor-by-floor fit-outs or working on large commercial schemes preferred
- Background from either trades or academic construction routes welcome
Attributes:
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Proactive approach with the ability to work independently
- Comfortable working under an experienced Senior Project Manager
- Ideally based locally (Uxbridge/West London/Home Counties) β parking is available on-site
Interview Process
