We are looking for an experienced and motivated Health, Safety & Fire Team Leader to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong technical professional with leadership experience who is passionate about delivering high-quality health, safety and fire risk services while supporting and developing others.

In this role, you will lead by example, providing expert advice, guidance, training and support to both clients and colleagues. You will work closely with the Operations Manager, Planning Team and wider operational teams to ensure the smooth delivery of services, maintain technical excellence and drive high standards across the team.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Carrying out Health, Safety and Fire Risk Assessments at client sites
  • Providing expert advice, guidance and support to clients and colleagues
  • Leading, mentoring and developing members of the team
  • Reviewing reports and supporting quality checking processes
  • Delivering CPD training and supporting ongoing professional development
  • Working with operational and planning teams to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Attending client meetings and providing technical support
  • Overseeing audits, 1-to-1s and team performance activities
  • Keeping up to date with legislation and best practice
  • Supporting continuous improvement and compliance with standards such as ISO 9001

About you:

  • A minimum Level 4 qualification in Health and Safety, such as the NEBOSH Diploma or NCRQ NEBOSH Fire Certificate, Advanced FPA Level 3 Fire Risk Assessor qualification, or higher
  • Membership of a relevant professional body such as IOSH, IFSM, IFE or IIRSM
  • Significant experience in a Health, Safety and Fire role within an established Health and Safety and Fire Management System
  • Proven experience of working with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels across an organisation
  • Extensive knowledge of UK Health, Safety and Fire legislation, with practical experience of implementation
  • Operational site-based experience, including work within residential buildings
  • Strong analytical, technical and report-writing skills
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and manage objectives effectively to achieve the best outcomes in time, cost and quality
  • Experience of leading, supporting and mentoring a team
  • Full driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
