About the role

4Secure helps organisations protect sensitive information and transfer data securely between networks with different security requirements. We are looking for a Product Marketing Manager to own how we position our products and solutions, bring new capabilities to market and equip our sales teams and partners to win.

You will turn customer insight and technical expertise into clear propositions that explain who our solutions are for, the problems they solve and why customers should choose 4Secure. Your work will support growth across Defence and commercial markets, including Critical National Infrastructure, Energy and Financial Services.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role combining strategic ownership with delivery. Working with the Head of Marketing, you will agree priorities across the portfolio and lead product marketing activity in partnership with Sales, technical colleagues and the wider Marketing team.

Key responsibilities

Positioning and market insight

  • Own and maintain product and solution positioning, value propositions and messaging, tailored to priority sectors, use cases and technical and business buyers.
  • Interview customers, prospects, partners and sales colleagues to understand buying triggers, decision makers, procurement journeys and barriers to purchase. Use this evidence to validate industry fit and recommend where to focus.
  • Track competitors, alternative approaches and market developments. Translate findings into clear differentiation, objection handling and practical recommendations for Sales and Marketing.

Go to market and launches

  • Build and deliver product marketing plans for agreed products and sectors, with defined audiences, objectives, deliverables and measures of success.
  • Lead the marketing workstream for product launches and significant updates, coordinating messaging, launch assets, sales readiness and partner communications with technical and commercial stakeholders.
  • Bring customer and market feedback into product roadmap and proposition discussions, including recommendations on packaging and pricing where relevant.

Sales enablement and content

  • Create and maintain sales presentations, solution briefs, battlecards, website copy and customer case studies that connect technical capabilities to operational and commercial outcomes.
  • Equip sales teams and channel partners through training, talk tracks, discovery questions and objection handling. Gather feedback and improve materials based on their use in live opportunities.
  • Work with technical specialists to ensure product claims are accurate and supported by evidence, and make complex concepts accessible to audiences with different levels of technical knowledge.

Campaign alignment and commercial performance

  • Partner with the wider Marketing team on campaigns, webinars and events, providing the audience insight, proposition, content and sales follow-up guidance needed for effective delivery.
  • Support partner propositions and joint marketing activity, making the value of combined solutions clear to customers and sellers.
  • Agree success measures with the Head of Marketing and Sales. Review launch results, sales adoption of materials, opportunity progression and contribution to qualified pipeline, using findings to improve future activity.

Skills and experience

  • A track record in B2B product marketing for cybersecurity or another complex technology business, with evidence of independently owning positioning, launches or sales enablement. Typically gained through four or more years of relevant experience; demonstrated impact matters more than a fixed number of years.
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills, with examples of translating technical capabilities into clear customer value for both specialist and non-specialist audiences.
  • Experience using customer research, market segmentation and competitive insight to shape propositions and go-to-market decisions.
  • Evidence of delivering product launches or bringing propositions to new markets, coordinating stakeholders and following through from planning to execution.
  • Experience creating practical sales enablement content and working directly with sales teams to support complex buying journeys.
  • Commercial judgement and analytical confidence: able to interpret pipeline and conversion data, evaluate results and explain what should change.
  • Strong stakeholder and project management skills, including the ability to challenge constructively, prioritise competing requests and deliver with limited supervision.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity buying groups, Defence, operational technology or Critical National Infrastructure markets.
  • Familiarity with cross domain solutions, secure data transfer or data diodes, or the ability to learn an unfamiliar technical portfolio quickly.
  • Experience working with channel partners, systems integrators or technology alliances.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and HubSpot, or equivalent CRM and marketing platforms, for insight, reporting and collaboration.

What success looks like

Within the first six months, you will have agreed a product marketing plan for priority products and sectors, validated core messaging with customers and Sales, and delivered the most important gaps in sales and partner enablement. Launches and campaigns will have clear propositions, coordinated delivery and agreed measures.

Over time, success will be demonstrated through stronger customer understanding, consistent use of effective sales materials and an evidenced contribution to opportunity progression and qualified pipeline. Targets will be agreed with the Head of Marketing and Sales to reflect priorities and sales cycle lengths.
