Working at the intersection of cybersecurity and mission-critical infrastructure, we enable Defence organisations to move data securely across domains, unlocking operational advantage where others say it is not possible. Our software-led approach, combined with hardware reinforcement where required, provides flexible, scalable and future-ready Cross Domain Solutions. TrustedFilter® sits at the core of this capability, giving customers confidence that data moving between networks is controlled, verified and secure.

The role

This is a true 360 sales role, owning the full sales cycle from initial prospecting through to long-term account growth. You will be responsible for generating new opportunities, progressing them through the pipeline, and building lasting customer relationships within the Defence sector. The role combines business development, opportunity management, and account management. You will spend time identifying and engaging new prospects, shaping solutions with technical teams, and ensuring successful delivery and expansion within existing accounts. There is an expectation of regular travel to meet prospects and customers. Time in the Northampton office will typically be around one day per week, supporting collaboration with the wider team.

What you will be doing

  • You will drive new business activity within Defence, building a pipeline through proactive outreach, networking, and targeted engagement.
  • Alongside this, you will manage opportunities end to end, from early discovery through to close.
  • You will work closely with technical teams to shape solutions that meet customer requirements, ensuring proposals are both credible and aligned to operational outcomes.
  • Once delivered, you will continue to grow accounts, identifying further opportunities and strengthening relationships.
  • You will also provide market insight back into the business, helping refine messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategy based on real customer conversations.

What good looks like

  • A consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities is generated and progressed through the sales cycle.
  • New customer relationships are established, while existing accounts continue to grow in both value and strategic importance.
  • 4Secure is seen as a trusted partner within Defence, with customers recognising the value of assured data transfer and Cross Domain Solutions.
  • Internally, collaboration with technical teams is strong, resulting in solutions that deliver both operational and commercial success.

What you will bring

  • You bring experience in a 360 sales role within Defence or a closely related cybersecurity environment.
  • You are comfortable owning the full sales cycle, from prospecting through to account growth.
  • You are confident engaging with both technical and senior stakeholders, able to translate complex concepts into clear, outcome-led conversations.
  • You are proactive, commercially driven, and motivated by building relationships as well as closing business.
  • An understanding of Cross Domain Solutions or secure data transfer is advantageous, but not essential.
  • What matters most is your ability to learn quickly, build trust, and create meaningful value for customers.
