Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver a work programme to include route planning, workload planning, process design and refinement, monitoring, reporting and updating progress to the Council.
- Transport the team to and around the work area using a hired electric vehicle provided by the Council. Ensure the vehicle is driven safely, secured whenever parked in a work area and returned back to the agreed vehicle charging location after each day's work.
- Manage and maintain an adequate stock of food caddy liners, leaflets and other survey materials.
- Follow route information in a logical order and adapt to and manage changes in work plans and routes.
- Conduct door step surveys to households in accordance with instructions provided.
- Post food waste recycling information through letterboxes of households with no answer.
- Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner and direct customers to information sources for queries beyond the remit of the food waste project.
- Communicate effectively with project staff and work collaboratively to deliver team objectives.
- Deliver the work programme safely in accordance with all operational and health and safety work instructions.
- Take responsibility for the Health and Safety of the team; conduct dynamic risk assessments to alter work patterns in light of changing conditions and situations.
- Work in accordance with the Council's organisational values and behaviour framework.
