- Undertaking assessments for young people who may display behaviours indicative of autism or ADHD
- Referrals received from professionals such as schools, health visitors
- Carry out observations of children in different settings such as the family home or an education setting
- Assess and identify children who require onward referral for specialist assessment by Community Paediatricians
- Assess their support needs and draw up, implement and review support plans
- Liase with a variety of professionals and agencies to ensure all relevant information is included in the assessment prior to referral to Community Paediatricians
- Plan and deliver structured packages graduated parenting interventions
- Work with children, young people and families in settings including the family home, and to transport them when required
- Keep and maintain accurate records of work
- Attend team and multi-agency meetings
- UK Driving Licence, access to a vehicle, business insurance
- Experience and knowledge of neurodiversity, child development and experience of assessment work are required
- Direct experience working with children, young people and families, undertaking observations and completing assessments
- Experience supporting children with trauma and attachment
- Knowledge and understanding of Autism and ADHD
- DBS registered to the update service
