Job Role
This is a significant and complex piece of work, that will enable Housing to deliver a greatly improved service for tenants and leaseholders, foster more collaborative working across Housing and with wider Council services, and provide a single, joined-up view of customers. This exercise will also address the current gaps in KPI and operational reporting, and support income collection processes for rent and service charges leading to improved debt recovery. Visibility of leasehold properties will be possible within NEC Housing when the 4,500 leasehold properties are incorporated. Efficiency gains will be realised by reducing the officer effort required to maintain similar data in multiple core applications.
The re-implementation of NEC Housing and enablement of the Account Analytics functionality of the application requires a detailed understanding of the NEC Housing database. The skill set required to complete this piece of work is a combination of expertise in Housing business processes and an understanding of the NEC Housing data structures. These skills are not available within Brent Council, so it is necessary to recruit to them on a short-term basis during the life of the implementation programme. The intention is to conduct a skills transfer to permanent officers within the Housing directorate.
