Our local authority client based in Surrey are urgently seeking an experienced Property Legal Officer.
About the role:
- You will focus on property law and support contract work where required, assisting the Head of Legal's property transactions, including conveyancing, commercial property matters, estate management and advice on corporate landholdings and other interests.
- Where required, also advise on contracts, statutory orders and other related matters.
- Working as part of a busy and friendly in-house legal team, engaging with and covering for colleagues as necessary and contributing to the achievement of Service Delivery Plan objectives.
- To manage own caseload effectively, doing so under the supervision of the Principal Lawyer, ensuring that files are kept in accordance with corporate and professional standards.
- Provide advice on legal risks to the Council arising from property matters and transactions handled by the team.
