Are you a passionate Support Worker looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are currently recruiting for a Support Worker to work within the Mental Health Services based in Bristol.
Pay Rates: £15.83 per hour
What you will be doing:
- To provide personal care and assist and support with medication when required.
- To ensure support and care plans are developed to meet assessed needs.
- To keep all customer records up to date – both in paper files and on the care & support database.
- To manage customer risk by ensuring close monitoring of customers’ health and wellbeing.
- To plan and participate in group and individual activities.
- To provide support in partnership with other statutory and voluntary agencies in the community, liaise with other agencies as necessary to ensure customers receive appropriate advice and support.
- To comply with all Group policies and procedures.
- To follow CQC Safeguarding policies and procedures for vulnerable adults.
- To undertake administrative duties related to the day to day running of the service.
- To partake in a weekly rota to cover the needs of the service.
- To respect the confidentiality of data stored electronically and by other means in line with the Data Protection Act.
Skills & Professional Characteristics needed:
- A knowledge of issues affecting people with mental health issues.
- An understanding of issues affecting vulnerable adults.
- An understanding of health and safety.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with vulnerable people.
- Ability to carry out needs assessments, and develop support plans with customers, working together on achieving individual goals.
- Ability to update computerised Care/Support plans.
- Ability to manage a caseload of customers.
- Ability to manage own workload and excellent time management skills.
- Ability to undertake administrative duties related to the day to day running of the service.
- Ability to set up and maintain administration and recording systems.
