We are seeking a committed and motivated Social Worker to join our Adult Social Care service within the People Care – Social Care and Education Professional Pathway. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference by supporting adults with diverse and complex needs, using a strength-based and person-centred approach.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake Care Act assessments and reviews for adults with varying levels of need
  • Work collaboratively with individuals, families, carers, and partner agencies
  • Develop outcome-focused support plans that promote independence and safety
  • Manage risk and complete safeguarding enquiries under Section 42 of the Care Act
  • Participate in duty and act as a trusted assessor
  • Prepare and contribute evidence for Court of Protection applications with guidance from a Practice Supervisor

Professional Development

  • Newly qualified Social Workers will complete the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) within their first 12 months
  • Opportunities for progression to Advanced Social Worker (Grade 11) through the Progression Pathway
  • Ongoing supervision and professional support

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work
  • Registration with Social Work England
  • Experience in adult social care, including assessments, reviews, and safeguarding
  • Strong communication, analytical, and report-writing skills
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and strength-based practice
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
