Essex County Council (ECC) are delighted to be supportingTendring District Councilto recruittwo Recycling Officerson 6 month, full-time basis. Please note this role is based at Clacton on Sea, and you will be required to workon site 5 days per week.
The Role:
Tendring District Council are seeking two Recycling Officers to join our Waste and Recycling Team on a six-month fixed term contract to support the team introduce simpler recycling compliant collection service to the residents of Tendring. The post will be based in Clacton and you must have access to a car for travel around district.
- Kerbside compliance monitoring of our waste and recycling contractor
- Customer and contractor engagement and education to promote all aspects of recycling and waste minimisation
- Attending meetings with contractors, helping to ensure TDC are Simpler Recycling compliant
- Auditing of communal bin stores sites and installation of additional recycling provisions, customer engagement and education
- Introducing, supporting and promoting food waste collection provisions to communal properties
- Container deliveries to households
- Handling public contact via telephone and emails, as well as undertaking administrative and operational tasksto support the effective and efficient operation of the Council waste and recycling service
