Our local authority client based in Berkshire are urgently seeking an experienced Income and Recovery Officer.

  • £14.59 an hour PAYE
  • Hybrid working - working from home but you will be required to come to the Civic Offices in Reading for meetings and appointments.

We are looking for an experienced Income and Recovery Officer (Adult Social Care). You’ll help deliver a high-quality, customer-focused service across multiple channels (face to face, telephone, email and digital), supporting residents to understand their accounts and access the right advice, including welfare benefits and financial/digital inclusion support.

You’ll identify and progress recovery action on unpaid Adult Social Care invoices, negotiate affordable repayment arrangements, and where necessary prepare cases for legal action in line with legislation, council policies and agreed service standards. You will also support billing/invoicing processes and payment collection activity (including direct debit administration), maintain accurate records on council systems, and handle customer contacts professionally and consistently, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection and information governance requirements.
