We are seeking an experienced Policy Planner to support the South & Vale Local Plan and strategic sites programme. This is a fantastic opportunity for a planning professional with local authority experience looking for a flexible contract role.

The Role:

You will play a key role in progressing local plan and strategic sites work, applying your expertise in planning policy and/or development management.

Key Requirements:

  • Significant experience as a planner, ideally within a county, district, or unitary authority
  • Strong background in planning policy and/or development management
  • Strategic land-use planning experience is essential (transport planners/engineers are not the focus)
  • NSIP experience desirable but not essential
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
