We are seeking a committed and motivated Social Worker to join our Adult Social Care service within the People Care – Social Care and Education Professional Pathway. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference by supporting adults with diverse and complex needs, using a strength-based and person-centred approach.
As a Social Worker in Adult Social Care, you will:
- Undertake Care Act assessments and reviews for adults with varying levels of need
- Work collaboratively with individuals, families, carers, and partner agencies
- Develop outcome-focused support plans that promote independence and safety
- Manage risk and complete safeguarding enquiries under Section 42 of the Care Act
- Participate in duty and act as a trusted assessor
- Prepare and contribute evidence for Court of Protection applications with guidance from a Practice Supervisor
Professional Development
- Newly qualified Social Workers will complete the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) within their first 12 months
- Opportunities for progression to Advanced Social Worker (Grade 11) through the Progression Pathway
- Ongoing supervision and professional support
Essential Requirements
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work
- Registration with Social Work England
- Experience in adult social care, including assessments, reviews, and safeguarding
- Strong communication, analytical, and report-writing skills
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and strength-based practice
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
