Duties
Reporting directly to the Contract Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and minor works across a variety of mechanical and electrical building services systems. The role will involve both hands-on technical support and supervisory responsibilities, ensuring all maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the delivery of planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance activities across multiple sites.
- Provide technical support and guidance to engineers and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with statutory maintenance requirements and health & safety legislation.
- Carry out fault diagnosis and assist with complex maintenance issues where required.
- Monitor service delivery performance and ensure work is completed within agreed timescales.
- Produce detailed reports, site findings and recommendations for remedial works.
- Manage and coordinate specialist subcontractors where necessary.
- Complete and review maintenance records via CAFM systems.
- Maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and professional service delivery.
Essential Requirements
- Recognised City & Guilds qualification in a Mechanical or Electrical discipline.
- Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience within Building Services or Facilities Management.
- Previous experience supervising engineers within a maintenance environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of both mechanical and electrical building services systems.
- Experience delivering PPM and reactive maintenance within occupied commercial environments.
- Previous experience using CAFM systems.
- Good understanding of statutory compliance and maintenance record keeping.
- Full UK driving licence.
