Our local authority client based in North West London are urgently seeking an experienced Office Relocation Manager. *Hybrid working *£500 a day Umbrella Role Purpose
- To lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of corporate relocations, office moves, service decants, churn activity, and workplace reconfigurations across the Council’s operational estate.
- To provide specialist workplace planning expertise, including space utilisation analysis, occupancy planning, and CAD-based layout design, supporting the Council’s Corporate Landlord model and estate rationalisation objectives.
- To ensure accommodation changes are delivered safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to operational services, working collaboratively across Directorates and support functions.
- Generic Duties
- Procure and manage specialist removals and storage contractors, acting as the Intelligent Client for move-related services.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for furniture and equipment during transitions, updating the Concerto system where assets are moved or disposed of.
- Carry out all duties in accordance with Council policies, procedures, and professional standards.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, GDPR, Equality, and safeguarding requirements.
- Maintain accurate workplace, occupancy, and accommodation records.
- Participate in service improvement and transformation initiatives.
- Work collaboratively across the Property & Corporate Landlord function and wider Council services.

Planning: Significant experience in workplace planning, space utilisation, and accommodation planning within a complex organisation.
Relocation
Management: Proven experience delivering office relocations, service moves, decants, and workplace reconfigurations.
Project
Management: Ability to manage multiple move workstreams simultaneously, using project tools to track milestones and risks.
Contract
Management: Experience in commissioning and managing external removals and logistics contractors.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage communications during office moves.
Auto CAD/Space
Planning: Expert knowledge of space planning principles and the ability to develop floor plans, layouts and move drawings.
Problem
