Data Protection Officer (DPO) £450 per day Hackney MUST have experience as a DPO in Local Government setting

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Oversight: Monitor internal compliance with UK GDPR and other data protection laws, including managing internal data protection activities and training staff.
  • Advisory: Provide expert advice on Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), ensuring privacy risks are identified and mitigated early in project lifecycles.
  • Point of Contact: Act as the primary contact point for the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) and for individuals (data subjects) exercising their rights.
  • Incident Management: Lead the investigation and reporting of data breaches, ensuring rapid response and minimisation of risk.
