Location: Newbury, Berkshire, RG18

Pay Rate: £15.14 per hour

Contract: Temporary to Permanent

Hours: Choose from either:

  • 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm (1-hour lunch)
  • 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm (30-minute lunch)

We are looking for a highly organised Business Services Advisor to join a busy and supportive team in Newbury. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills who enjoys working in a varied role, supporting the day-to-day running of business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and organisational support to the Business Services team
  • Maintain company computer files for customers and suppliers using internal databases
  • Carry out document control, including checking daily and monthly reports and completing end-of-month reporting for managers and customers
  • Support the coordination of external training
  • Assist with organising company events and liaise with external suppliers
  • Maintain service checks, contract review records, SDAs and PAT testing results
  • Assist with external accreditations
  • Maintain internal and external documentation
  • Manage business calendars, meetings and appointments
  • Support facilities management activities
  • Order stationery and office supplies
  • Support the maintenance and updating of internal software programmes
  • Provide general administrative support to colleagues as required

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience in an administrative or business support role
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise your workload effectively
  • A proactive approach and willingness to support the wider team
