Duties and responsibilities:
- To lead and manage the day-to-day delivery of private sector housing functions relating to housing improvement across the borough, ensuring the provision of a high-quality, customer-focused service.
- The role involves managing a caseload and taking appropriate enforcement action to address property disrepair and energy efficiency deficiencies in residential accommodation, using the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) and relevant statutory powers.
- The postholder will also be responsible for Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO) licensing and enforcement, as well as the management of empty properties, drainage issues, and other related duties as reasonably required.
