Highways Communications Officer Manchester 32.95ph Hybrid (3 days in the office)

Duties:

  • Develop and deliver communication plans for resurfacing programmes
  • Coordination with the Planned Maintenance team
  • Work closely with Team Leader Engineers, Clerk of Works, Permit Officer, Contractors, and Asset Team
  • Gather accurate, up-to-date information on:
    • Programmes
    • Phasing and sequencing of works
    • Material/product selection and the scenarios of when they are chosen
    • Risks and delays
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Coordinate communication with key stakeholders:
      • Local councillors and MPs
      • TfGM Bus Team
      • Emergency services
      • Businesses and schools
      • Public transport operators
    • Provide advance briefings so stakeholders can prepare and respond to enquiries.
    • Attend meetings or briefings with the highways delivery team.
