The post holder will be the principal point of contact for tenants and leaseholders in provisioning a comprehensive estate management service, ensuring all customers receive help and support in making their tenancies sustainable.

Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and take appropriate action in relation to tenancy and estate management enquiries, including anti-social behaviour, harassment, neighbour disputes, unauthorised occupation of the Council's stock, successions and assignments, and breaches of tenancy (excluding rent arrears), and estate-related incidents.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and experience of housing management gained in a local authority, RSL or related organisation, including contact with the general public.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours to meet deadlines and attend residents' meetings if required; must have a driving licence and access to a vehicle or suitable means of transport.
  • Knowledge of current housing legislation used to address antisocial behaviour, and understanding of the key aspects of landlord and tenant legislation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people, prioritise tasks against competing demands, and deliver to very tight deadlines.
  • Practical and tactful approach to problem-solving; self-motivated team player.
