Working Arrangement: Initially fully onsite, with the possibility of hybrid working (up to 2 days from home per week) following induction.
Key Requirements & Experience:
- Previous experience using the Academy benefits processing system within a local authority environment to administer Housing Benefit and/or Discretionary Housing Payments (DHP) is highly desirable.
- Extensive experience in assessing and determining Discretionary Housing Payment applications is essential, including reviewing income and expenditure, applying current legislation and council policy, calculating awards, and issuing clear decision notifications.
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload accurately and efficiently while maintaining compliance with statutory regulations, audit requirements, and service level agreements.
