Pay Rates: £16.43 - £20.83 per hour Umbrella Rate
Information About the Role
- Contract Type: 2 months initially, 37 hours a week.
- Must be a driver.
- Free on-site parking.
As part of this role, you will work alongside Safeguarding Social Workers in delivering high-quality intervention with children and families to support positive outcomes. Candidate will be expected to be office based for part of the week and be able to travel to Bolton at short notice to meet service needs.
What you will be doing:
- Supporting with family time.
- Supporting in completing home visits and direct work with children.
- Completing work with families around behaviour management strategies and routines and boundaries, budgeting and supporting in referring families to available support services.
- Contributing to risk assessments and protecting children and young people from danger, harm, and abuse.
- Planning and recording interventions effectively, supporting overall assessment held by referring social care teams.
- Delivering quality interventions within the Framework for Action parenting capacity guidance.
- Offering support and evidence-based intervention around child development using EYFS guidance and behaviour management strategies.
- Working in partnership with families on protection plans in their own home, where appropriate.
- Communicating and working with a range of professionals and agencies to ensure a seamless service for children and families, managing and providing information to support effective decision-making.
- Working alongside social workers contributing to assessments and care plans.
Essential Requirements:
- Ability to contribute to the protection of children and young people by identifying and acting upon risk of danger, harm, and abuse, and responding to suspicions and disclosures.
- Ability to communicate the planning, delivery and outcomes of Family Time and direct work verbally, within case notes and on Family Time recording systems.
- Ability to implement interventions and strategies to prevent family breakdown, support improved outcomes for children and their families, and support rehabilitation plans.
- Ability to monitor and maintain the safety and security of the working and home environment, following Health and Safety procedures at all times.
- Relevant level 3 qualification e.g. NNEB, NVQ3, BTEC, Early Years, Childcare, Health and Social Care, Youth and Community Studies.
