4Recruitment Services are seeking Family Hubs Support Workers. The vision for Family Hubs is to build community resilience and self-help approaches that will empower children and families to access information and peer support to enable them to develop and grow.

Family Hubs Support Workers will support families to access appropriate support and work alongside services to consider different ways of working, with a specific focus on Early Years Support for Under 5s.

You will be required to:

  • Support families to access the support and services they need.
  • Support parents to access early years services, address barriers to engagement, and implement action plans to increase engagement with new families.
  • Support early years services to be inclusive and enable parents, carers, and families to be involved in decision-making, including developing high-quality volunteering opportunities.
  • Support parents in developing a wider understanding of the impacts on child development and parental wellbeing, enabling positive outcomes for children.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Signpost families to resources and tools that help parents make positive choices.
  • Be a key member of the Family Hub approach; work directly with families, professionals, and partners to empower and build thriving communities.
  • Create positive links with families and external agencies, communicating needs and sharing skills and knowledge.
  • Support participation in Family Hubs programmes, including peer support, infant feeding, mental health, parenting courses, and more.
  • Identify and map local resources, networks, and community assets to improve health and wellbeing.
  • Engage with pregnant women and partners in the first trimester.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • A relevant qualification at NVQ 3 or above or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in this sector and understanding of Children Services.
  • Willingness to work from the Kettering Office and other community settings.
