Tendring District Council are seeking two Recycling Officers to join our Waste and Recycling Team on a six-month fixed term contract to support the team introduce a simpler recycling compliant collection service to the residents of Tendring. The post will be based in Clacton and you must have access to a car for travel around the district.
The role will involve, but is not limited to:
- Kerbside compliance monitoring of our waste and recycling contractor
- Customer and contractor engagement and education to promote all aspects of recycling and waste minimisation
- Attending meetings with contractors, helping to ensure TDC are Simpler Recycling compliant
- Auditing of communal bin stores sites and installation of additional recycling provisions, customer engagement and education
- Introducing, supporting and promoting food waste collection provisions to communal properties
- Container deliveries to households
- Handling public contact via telephone and emails, as well as undertaking administrative and operational tasks
