We are currently seeking an experienced Environmental Health Officer / Enforcement Officer to join our Health & Safety Enforcement Team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional with current health & safety enforcement experience to manage a varied caseload of proactive and reactive enforcement work.
Location: Wembley, London
Hours: 36 hours per week
Working Pattern: Hybrid with flexible and remote working available
Rate: Negotiable
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse caseload of health & safety enforcement work.
- Undertake proactive inspections and reactive investigations.
- Investigate health & safety complaints and RIDDOR notifications.
- Take appropriate enforcement action in line with current legislation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant health & safety laws and guidance.
Essential Requirements:
- Current experience in health & safety enforcement.
- A recognised professional qualification to undertake health & safety interventions, such as: Diploma, BSc or MSc in Environmental Health, NEBOSH qualification, Registration with the CIEH.
- Strong working knowledge of health & safety legislation.
- Experience investigating health & safety complaints, RIDDOR notifications and enforcement action.
- Excellent communication, organisational and case management skills.
