Children’s Residential Practitioner Leeds 11/08/2025 – 2 months Rota basis including early, late and waking night shifts – this will include weekend working – 37 hrs/week Direct work with children and young people, supporting, encourage and safeguard children and young people in their development Undertake key worker role, implement care plans, conduct risk assessments and devise support and health plans Provide appropriate levels of personal care for children and young people with disabilities and complex needs, including bathing, toileting, dressing, changing and feeding as appropriate Manage complex and challenging behaviour in an assertive, restorative and sensitive manner Provide and maintain a safe, stimulating and secure living and learning environment supporting the day-to-day physical and emotional needs of children Day-to-day management including deployment of staff ensuring appropriate cover in the home Keep and maintain records, ensuring that all records are accurate Provide reports, minutes, maintain records, attend, and chair meetings and reviews as required Requirements NVQ Diploma Level 3 in registered Childcare Recent experience of working with vulnerable children and young people who may have emotional or behavioural difficulties Demonstrate skills in managing conflict and aggression using de-escalation techniques Enhanced Child DBS registered to the update service Recruitment is done in line with safe recruitment practices. 4Recruitment Services in an equal opportunities employer.
