Cardiff Youth Justice Service (YJS) is looking for a dedicated Prevention Worker to join its multi-agency team.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work with young people aged 10β17 who have offended or are at risk of entering the youth justice system, helping them reduce anti-social behaviour and achieve positive outcomes.
As a Prevention Worker, you will: Undertake assessments of young people referred to the YJS Prevention Team.
Develop and deliver targeted intervention programmes to address anti-social behaviour and reduce the risk of offending or reoffending.
Build positive, trusting relationships with children, young people and their families.
Apply restorative justice principles and restorative approaches throughout your work.
Work collaboratively with partner agencies to deliver effective support and achieve the best outcomes.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to effective case management.
To be successful in this role, you will have: Experience working with children and young people, particularly those who are vulnerable or at risk.
A good understanding of the youth justice system and the issues affecting young people aged 10β17.
