We are recruiting for two experienced Commissioning Officers to support the delivery of a high-profile Best Start in Life Family Hubs Programme. These are excellent opportunities to join a collaborative team delivering commissioning activity that improves outcomes for children, young people and families.
Commissioning Officer β Health and Early Years Portfolio. You will support the commissioning and development of services relating to:
- Infant feeding
- Perinatal mental health and parent-infant relationships
- Early years health and wellbeing priorities
- Monitoring commissioned services, supporting performance reporting and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
Commissioning Officer β Early Help and Family Support Portfolio. You will support the commissioning and development of services relating to:
- Evidence-based parenting support programmes
- Home Learning Environment (HLE) and school readiness activity
- Early Help family support priorities
- Supporting mobilisation, contract management, performance monitoring and service improvement activity
Both positions will work collaboratively across the wider Family Hubs Programme, partnering with providers, delivery partners and internal stakeholders to ensure commissioned services align with national Best Start for Life priorities and local strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the commissioning, implementation and development of the Best Start in Life Family Hubs Programme
- Coordinate commissioning activities, contract management and performance monitoring to improve outcomes for children, young people and families
- Assist with the development of service specifications, tender documentation and procurement activity for public health services
- Support strategic action plans relating to perinatal mental health, parent-infant relationships, infant feeding and parenting support
