We are recruiting for an experienced SEN Tribunals and Mediation Officer to support a local authority on a remote basis. The successful candidate will have extensive experience managing Special Educational Needs (SEN) appeals and mediations, providing expert support throughout the tribunal process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a caseload of SEND Tribunal appeals
  • Preparing responses, evidence bundles, and case documentation
  • Attending and representing the local authority at hearings
  • Participating in Judicial Alternative Dispute Resolution (JADR) sessions
  • Attending Tribunal Case Management Hearings (TCMHs)
  • Leading and supporting mediation processes to achieve positive outcomes
  • Liaising with parents, schools, legal representatives, and key stakeholders
  • Providing advice and guidance on SEND legislation, regulations, and tribunal procedures

Requirements:
