As a Case Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting people who choose to manage their care through Direct Payments. Working as part of a supportive team, you will help individuals to manage their care packages effectively while promoting choice, control, and independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively as part of a team while also using your own initiative to manage individual responsibilities.
  • Provide clear guidance and support to current and potential Direct Payments users on recruitment and employment matters.
  • Monitor, support, advise, and assist individuals in managing their Direct Payments packages and associated finances.
  • Review and assess financial records and related documentation held by Direct Payments recipients, ensuring accurate record-keeping using Microsoft Excel (strong Excel skills are essential).
  • Carry out home visits and develop positive, effective working relationships with individuals and other key stakeholders.
  • Promote awareness of Direct Payments and contribute to the ongoing development of the service.
