We are seeking an experienced Repairs Manager to lead the delivery of housing disrepair, HHSRS compliance, and damp and mould services across its housing portfolio.
This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, protecting tenant health and safety, and driving high-quality repairs services in line with Awaab's Law.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the management of housing disrepair cases, including pre- and post-litigation processes.
- Ensure compliance with HHSRS, housing legislation, and Awaab's Law.
- Oversee the diagnosis, remediation, and prevention of damp and mould.
- Manage internal teams, contractors, and consultants delivering repairs and compliance works.
- Monitor service performance, budgets, KPIs, and compliance.
- Work closely with legal teams, surveyors, housing colleagues, and residents to deliver excellent outcomes.
- Produce reports for senior management and support audits and regulatory inspections.
About You
You’ll have
- Significant experience managing housing repairs, disrepair, or property compliance services.
- Strong knowledge of HHSRS, housing legislation, and damp and mould management.
- Experience managing contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- A relevant qualification in Building Surveying, Construction, Housing, or a related discipline (RICS/CIOB membership desirable).
