Hours: 36 hours per week

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health Officer / Enforcement Officer to join the Health & Safety Enforcement Team. The successful candidate will manage a caseload of proactive and reactive health and safety enforcement work, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate health and safety complaints and RIDDOR notifications.
- Carry out health and safety inspections and interventions.
- Take appropriate enforcement action where required.
- Manage a varied caseload and maintain accurate case records.
- Provide advice on health and safety legislation and compliance.
Essential Requirements
- Relevant professional qualification, such as a Diploma/BSc/MSc in Environmental Health or NEBOSH.
- Registration with the CIEH.
- Current experience in health and safety enforcement.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation.
- Experience investigating complaints, RIDDOR notifications and undertaking enforcement action.
- Excellent investigation, communication and case management skills.
